How are origins and place names used in Taiwanese tea names?

Taiwan has always used place names to designate and market types of tea - especially where the place name is held in high esteem. This practice is susceptible to the misuse of these place names by selling tea that is not from a given origin. This is why it's important to buy directly from the farm and/or from people you know and trust.

When the place of origin is not of strong value, poetic tea names rather than place names have often been used. For example: Jin Xuan, Tsui Yu, Four Seasons Spring, Oriental Beauty, Bi Luo Qun, etc. This does not necessarily connote a lack of quality or distinctive character, it is simply a different form of recognition.
